2019-6-24 Companionway door/bridge deck
The top edge of the bridge deck does not look level, I checked and checked, it is correct, however the cockpit benches are not. I installed the bridge deck in line with the forward edge of both benches.
This explains why the port cockpit bench pools rainwater but the starboard bench drains dry.
50 years ago something slipped in the mold.

2019-6-24 Companionway door
Air temperature high in low 90's F (low 30's C) for at least the next two weeks, epoxy sets too fast at temperatures higher than mid 80's F (mid 20's C). So no epoxy work for at least the next two weeks.
2019-6-29 Template and new cover from salvaged teak plywood for former engine access hatch (the board with circular access hatch under new bridge deck)

2019-6-29 former engine access hatch cover cut and ready for dry fit. The former hatch has been leaking for years.

2019-7-5 companion way ladder dry fit, pardon the mess I just removed the previous step box and countertop.
2019-7-6 dry fit spacer board to move ladder 1 1/2 inch forward.
The board is cut from an old growth hemlock floor joist from about the 1920's and saturated in penetrating epoxy
2019-7-9 companionway ladder secured in place.
2019-7-10 Air temperature in low 90's F (low 30's C) for next 5 days so no fiberglass work. Work on the former inboard engine cockpit access hatch will wait.
New electric panel, battery box, and under cockpit storage will be next (the messy area behind the companionway ladder). The motor mount bracket will be reused to support a new battery platform

2019-7-25 former engine access hatch cover removed and replace. Set in chopped fiberglass epoxy.
Low 80's F (mid 20's C) before noon then mid 80's F (high 20's C) in the afternoon.

2020-8-22 recommenced work on the bridge deck and cockpit, repaired various holes and gaps, another sanding, some fairing then more sanding, penetrating epoxy and paint. Low 80's F (mid 20's C) and no rain. Low 90's F (low 30's C) next few days with thunder storms.
